The U.S. Government Tracks All The Snail Mail You Send Too

Thanks to top secret documents leaked by Edward Snowden — a.k.a. the man currently starring in the real-life Russian remake of The Terminal — we now know that the National Security Agency has been collecting “metadata” from phone calls and emails, allowing them to keep track of who contacts who and when.
It turns out that this tracking is not limited to digital and voice communication. The government has been doing the same thing for postal mail for years.
