Can Hydrogen Replace Gas?

Soon people in the UK may be getting hydrogen pumped through their GasMain instead of Gas. This is to do with the UK Governments desire for a Zero target for CO2 emisions by 2050. The £7 million project is backed by Ofgem’s Network Innovation Competition.
This is a hugh collaboration between Cadent, Northern Gas Networks, Keele University, Health & Safety Laboratory, ITM Power and Progressive Energy.

The Project is been called HyDeploy.

HyDeploy is a pioneering hydrogen energy project designed to help reduce UK CO2 emissions and reach the Government’s net zero target for 2050.
